My name is Natalia Osorio, I was born in Colombia but grew up in the Garden state of New Jersey!

 

I come from a big family, a family filled with love for food and culture.

When I was a little girl, My grandmother would sit me down on the kitchen counter next to the window overlooking the flower garden.

 

Every morning, the house was filled with the aroma of fresh coffee. Beautiful dried coffee beans that would harvest from the coffee tree right outside our kitchen window. I would sit on that kitchen counter for hours watching her bake and cook all the amazing things that she had learned from her mother and grandmother.

 

Flowers were a huge part of my upbringing, and you will see that I have implemented them in most of my cakes. They bring such love, light and happiness to all special occasions.

 

About 4 years ago, my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and Dementia. This is when I started to really pour my heart into baking. It helped to bring me back to those special days I would share with her and just made me feel closer to her.

 

From that point forward, my love for baking and creating cakes just kept growing and growing and the need to learn more was inevitable. I decided that I wanted to take it on professionally and so I enrolled in Baking and Pastry school where I was taught by one of the best Pastry Chefs in Colombia.

 

Years later Mixed Cake Co. was born when I moved from Colombia to Tampa. I am so thrilled to share my passion with the world and cannot wait to see where this takes me.
